The Arboretum (dendrological collection) occupies the central part of the Garden; covering an area of 1.5 ha it is composed of 230 specimens of woody plants from almost all over the world. Grown in order to maintain their natural behavior, plants are disposed according to the place of origin, as an imaginary world map. The diversity and abundance of trees’ and shrubs’ species of different shapes and colors offers the visitor a unique experience, cultural and enjoyable at the same time.

The Asian continent, on the east side of the arboretum, is represented by several species, among which are Ginkgo biloba L. (ginko), Cycas revoluta Thunb. (cycad), Melia azedarach L. (bead-tree), the camphor (Cinnamomum camphora (L.) J. Presl), and the jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.).
